Butterfly Valves
McWane Plant & Industrial offers a comprehensive range of AWWA C504 butterfly valves engineered for reliable flow control in water, wastewater, and industrial applications. Available in sizes from 3" to 72" and pressure classes CL150B to CL250B, our portfolio includes resilient seated, seat-on-disc, seat-on-body, and high-performance butterfly valves. Designed for durability and bubble-tight, bidirectional shutoff for the most demanding applicaitons. With NSF 61/372 certification MPI butterfly valves deliver proven performance and easy actuation integration.
Key Features:
- Integrally cast actuator mounting pad machined and drilled to ISO-5211 and MSS SP-101 for direct mounting of manual or automated actuators.
- Stainless steel components meet or exceed AWWA C504 standards: Class 150B – 304 stainless steel, Class 250B – 630 stainless steel. Single-piece (3”-12”), two-piece (14”-72”).
- Valve bodies made of heavy-duty ASTM A536 ductile iron, designed to meet or exceed AWWA C504.
- EPDM rubber vulcanized to a 304 stainless steel ring, attached with self-locking stainless steel cap screws. Body ring seat made of 316 stainless steel forms a 360-degree uninterrupted seal. Seat ring is field replaceable.
- Heavy-duty A536 ductile iron construction meets or exceeds AWWA C504.
- Self-adjusting V-type packing increases sealing force with line pressure and is accessible without dismantling the valve, per AWWA C504.
- Full metal-to-metal contact between vane and shaft using a stainless steel torque plug.
- Nylon bearings sized to meet/exceed AWWA C504 axial pressure loads, self-lubricating, and maintenance-free.
