Woodburn, OR - Installation Summary – BrucePac Food Processing Plant

The Reilly team successfully completed the installation of a Trojan UVFit disinfection system at the BrucePac Food Processing Plant’s wastewater treatment facility in Woodburn, Oregon. The project included the construction of a dedicated, climate-controlled building designed to protect the UV equipment from moisture, temperature fluctuations, and corrosive environmental conditions—significantly extending system reliability and service life.

The UVFit unit was integrated into the existing effluent treatment process with new stainless-steel piping, flow-control valving, and electrical/SCADA connections to ensure seamless operation and monitoring. The system provides high intensity, low-pressure UV disinfection capable of achieving required pathogen reduction without chemical additives. This allows the plant to maintain compliance with effluent discharge limits while reducing chemical handling, storage risks, and long-term operational costs.

This installation showcases a strong technical solution for small- to mid-sized facilities looking to move away from chemical disinfection and adopt a safer, more sustainable, low-maintenance treatment technology.
